When not playing for concerts, shows and dances in major venues, Michael is delighted to take his music in to entertain guests at Care Homes, Day Centres, Nursing Homes, Sheltered Accommodation and Residential Homes.

Bournemouth Pavilion Care Home

Michael plays for good private establishments and for those owned by the best of the groups, including Bupa, Rhymecare and Sunrise Senior Living. This can be in his local Sussex area, or quite often, when he is out and about on tour and finds he has some free time available. He has played in care homes as far flung as Norfolk, The Lake District and Carlisle!

When Michael comes along to entertain for your residents, it is a very special experience and unlike that offered by any other keyboard entertainer visiting rest homes. He will bring along one of his touring electronic organs, capable of recreating just about every musical sound imaginable, from mighty Pipe Organ through to Symphony Orchestra. If you prefer, he can sometimes bring along his Digital Piano or, of course, is happy to play your piano or organ if you have one.

As with his concerts, he will include lots of memories of shows and stars of the past and play the music associated with them. A typical session of music lasts around 50 minutes and includes Big Band favourites, medleys from magical musicals like Les Miserables and My Fair Lady, memories of Reginald Dixon at the Tower Ballroom Wurlitzer Theatre Organ, medleys from Buddy Holly or Andy Williams and much, much more. He is always willing to include particular favourite melodies by request, so long as he knows them!

It is often commented by staff and visitors just how well the residents and patients react to Michael's visit and how some residents can be virtually still for most of the time but are reborn through the music session. Some residents don’t normally speak at all and yet they will try to sing along to popular old tunes on the organ and the joy it seems to bring is easily apparent. The quality of the presentation can count for a lot as well, since Michael gives these performances just the same care and preparation as as he doesfor those he gives in concert halls. The audience really appreciate this respect for them and much prefer his professionalism to some others who perhaps don't quite treat these performances with the same regard. Michael has a current CRB Check in place, as he also teaches children once a month at the Rye Wurlitzer Academy.

Give Michael a call now to see when he is able to play for you. It may not be as expensive as you thought!
